Bimota Alstare feeling positive ahead of californian challenge

The ninth round of this year’s World Superbike Championship takes place at Laguna Seca, in USA. The track is 3610 meters in length. with 7 left-hand curves and 4 right-handers. The layout makes overtaking difficult, but nonetheless it is an iconic track, due in part to its infamous ‘Corkscrew’ corner. Team Bimota Alstare are looking forward to this weekend’s race – the last before the summer break – and maintaining their progress to date.

“For sure, Laguna Seca is an interesting track and one that many fans know about – mainly because of the Corkscrew. However, the track is much more than one corner and its changes if elevation pose many problems. Getting a good set-up for the bike is vital (the same for other tracks) and if we can get our BB3 dialled in quickly it means that we can really go on the attack in Superpole, and maybe finish with a better grid position. I am looking forward to continuing the good progress we have made and scoring the best possible results before the summer break.”

“Laguna is a fun track to ride, but you must have a good bike set-up to do so.

 I like tracks like Laguna Seca because of the problems we have to be overcome because of the many changes of elevation etc.

I am sure that we will continue to make progress with the bike’s development and I’m looking forward to understanding the BB3 more and getting better results. I know we’re knocking on the door, but I’d like to get inside and finish first EVO bike, if that’s possible.
